TENNIS / KEYNOTE / SOCIAL
“As an adaptive tennis player I found strength in my teammates. They teach me and guide me through their own experiences. Having my team, my community, has meant the world to me and I hope anyone looking for strength and hope will find it here”.
Hilary Muehlberger, Ms. Wheelchair America
Keynote Speech from Ms. Wheelchair America
From Greenwood, Missouri, Hilary is the first Ms. Wheelchair America from the state of Missouri to win in the organization’s 48-year history! A serious tennis player and advocate for adaptive sports, Hilary competes with her teammates on the Whole Person’s Kansas City No Coast Tennis Team in national and regional competitions. A USTA nationally ranked wheelchair player in both singles and doubles and Account Manager for Numotion Medical Supplies, Hilary is dedicated to serving her community by providing mentorship and encouragement for those living with a disability across the nation. She shared her inspiring message and participated in a meet-and-greet session.
Tennis Clinic
Match Pointe offered our weekend Annual Wheelchair Tennis Summer Clinic for youth and adults with physical disabilities. The clinic covered the fundamentals of wheelchair tennis to intermediate and advanced skills. No prior experience was required to participate. We are grateful to USTA Northern, Mya Smith-Dennis and Tim Burke for their support.
Social Hour at the Blue Rock
Whether it was old friends or new faces, we gathered for good food and conversation. We shared experiences and contacts as we built our wheelchair tennis community in USTA Northern! Blue Rock is conveniently located on the Sanford Sports Complex just two buildings over from Match Pointe. You can view the menu at Blue Rock Grill
“There’s a definite difference between inviting someone with a disability to the table, and then to actually allow them to be part of the conversation, a productive member of that group of friends,”
Hilary Muehlberger, Ms. Wheelchair America

MATCH PLAY / OPEN PLAY / GAMES
“I’m a real, real competitive person by nature, so I was like, ‘I can get behind this!!’”
Hilary Muehlberger, Ms. Wheelchair America
Drop In Play
We followed the USTA Northern Drop In Play format. After we grabbed some breakfast, and we started some open play, finishing the weekend together with some fun.
“Casual, drop in and play tennis is a great way to get together with friends, meet new people, and have fun on the court! These play opportunities include organized play, drills, and fun games.”
